Three awards for Lakeland Dairies at Blas na hÉireann

Lakeland Dairies took home three gongs at the recent Blas na hÉireann Irish food awards underlining the Co-op’s pedigree in producing world-class, safe and sustainable dairy products enjoyed by thousands of households every day.

Often called the "Irish food Oscars", each year the Blas awards highlight the best of Irish produce with a series of bronze, silver and gold awards.

Lakeland Dairies, the island’s largest cross border dairy co-operative with a milk pool of 2bn litres collected from 3,200 farm families, took home three awards making it one of the largest winners on the day.

In the buttermilk category, Lakeland Dairies won bronze for the co-op own Champion Buttermilk brand.

Also, from Lakeland Dairies’ own range of products, the co-op won silver for the Ballyrashane Double Cream product range.
