Lakeland Dairies has teamed up with agri-tech specialists Farmeye to provide an innovative map-based soil management system used to maintain a record of the soil management and nutritional profile of every field on a farm.
Soil Sustainability Programme
The Lakeland Agri Soil Sustainability Programme is a partnership between Lakeland Agri and Grassland Agro and works closely with farmers to improve overall soil health and at the same time reduce chemical fertiliser inputs.
An intensive soil sampling programme alongside soil biological and structural measurements allows a farm specific programme to be developed. Each participant is equipped with a detailed fertiliser programme, which utilises the right product, in the right place, at the right rate and the right time.
